Default crank pulley cracked... unsafe?

Well back in January I wrecked my car. I thought I was fortunate enough where nothing on the motor was harmed because the frame was close. It cracked the power steering pulley for sure and I thought I dodged a bullet. Well today I noticed my crank pulley as a small crack where a piece is ever so slightly indented it, then there is a hairline crack going around the pulley maybe 2/5th around it. So would this make it unbalanced? Should I replace it? I rather not ruin a motor because of something so simple.

BTW a new one is $146!!!

if that piece comes off yes it will unbalance the motor, i'd replace it asap.

If only the OBX pulleys were safe they are like $80 vs $150 lol

My friend has been running one for about 2 years. I opted for an unorthodox race pulley and ran that for about 3 years...no problems, no metal in oil either. They are machined out of billet aluminum.

just buy a used good one. If that pulley comes off while in high rpms, get ready for a rebuild asap.

^+1 many people have been killed due to metal objects coming apart at high rpms.
