auto to manaul conversion

auto to manaul conversion
I got a 92 da9 auto.. Blew the auto up and found everything for a 5 speed swap. My question is, since the tranny has it's own computer, can i run the ecu that is in my car, or do i have to get another engine ecu for a manual or chip it??

Just give it a shot and run the auto ecu. The motor will run fine but you may or may not get a check engine light. I doubt it since the car ran a TCM.

New to what? i knew how to drive a stick at 14 years old racing shifter karts. Out of 8 cars i've owned this is the second auto that i have had, and i hate it..
