Dont have to do anything to the block, but the gsr head revs out higher than the LS and to get the rpms up safe, replace to stock rod bolts with some ARP. There is a set on here for like $30 brand new...

^ drunk posting? and like everyone said no, just a vtec conversion kit that puts an oil send plate onto the oil filter threads. the head will have to be tapped for the oil supply though.

if you piece the kit together itll be allot cheaper

sand which plate
3/8th to -4an fitting
1/8th npt to -4an
18inch -4an hose
dowel pins
1/8th npt plug (to plug the bottom of the head)
then some sort of vtec controller or vtec ecu

my lag is your courtesy head start

ATTENTION.... installing a head gasket, head studs or pistons and rods in your otherwise STOCK engine dose not make it a "built" engine! stop listing you cars for sale saying they are built when its not!!
