Battery Light Flickering??

Exclamation Battery Light Flickering??

Ok, So i just got this hatch and the battery light only came on when i started moving so i replaced the alternator and its been fine, and when i was coming home i got on it cuz i love vtec and like after 8k my battery light came on flickering... I was thinking my battery but it only does it after 8k and my headlights work and radio, and everything... Maybe alternator belt ? idk plz help

Could very well be the belt...is it new?

Ehhhh, Kinda sorda... It was on the old alternator that went bad i had... And i didn't replace it when i replaced the alternator... Silly me.. lol

Well my vtec controller went to zero because it reads what rpms im at and so i turned my car off and all power was lost

Belt is like 10-15 bucks...just try it and make sure you tighten it good. Clean off the pulley surface well too before install.

Yea, Im gonna get a new belt tomorrow to see if that solves the problem... Anything else besides the belt ?

Yea, Lol... It was weird... But the battery light wasnt on... It was only on when i go past 8k rpms

oh ok. yeah that sounds like what custom240sx is saying, the belt is just slipping at that high of rshared_pm and it's not turning the alternator. a new belt, cleaning the pulley, and tightening it of course and it'll take care of it.
