Yes I still have not figured out what temp sensor to use that will fit the 96 block and be compatible with the 89 Si ECU.

Also will I use the crank speed sensor with the 89 Si ECU and can I use the 96 flywheel/clutch with the 89 tranny?

 

So you are saying that the electronic signal from the 96 temp sensor is the same as the 89 but it just has a different plug?
