i thought if u wanted to run a single cam vtec u needed a p28 and obd1 conversion.

pr3 is the b16 obdo ecu

 

you just answered your own question pr3 is a b16 ecu which has vtec just load a diffrent map on the chip and boom

and i know this pr3 ecu if your trying to start it on the chip that is in it good luck it wont start the tune on the chip is for a 13.1 comp b16 with toda cams and bigger injectors it wont fire your stock motor lol

 

either way i wouldnt use a pr3 i would just do it the proper way and convert it to obd1.

 

if you have a stock crx si ecu u can get a vafc and run vtec with that i think and it will run perfectly fine

 

obd1 is much better tho

 

or he can just get a new chip and run the ecu he has vafc's are junk so is every other type of piggyback signal modifier especially greddys blue box.... get a base map chip from one of the reputable tuners here so you know it will run your car correctly once you have it running take it and tune it or just run a stock program ...i like to tune any setup i get whether it be boosted or i/h/e normal asp. it makes it much more responsive and you grab those extra ponies
