I could really use some help with my d15b7!
I have a 1995 civic d15b7 auto (milage unknown)
- sometimes I'm lucky if it starts- It takes several tries
- It runs really choppy (sputtering)
- constantly stalls
- lacks no power
- sucks gas
- I have a check engine light
- The spark plugs have oil on them and the groumets were changed recently
I've recently changed:
All the top end gaskets excluding the head gasket.
The water pump
Thermostat
radiator cap
timming belt
I don't have any money and I can't put any into this piece of shit car I was forced to buy. But I was wondering if anyone would have any suggestions of what else it could be or MAYBE be able to generous enough to take a look at it for me. I appreciate any input.
If you really think you could look at it for me shared_pm me your number.
Thanks--

spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, if your fuel filter is dirty it can clog up your injectors, that should solve your problem, if not bring the car to orlando and ill lend you a hand no money required.

First, check the CEL and tell us what it is.
Second, check the timing over again and make sure it is CORRECT
Third, when putting those seals in the spark plug holes and the rest of the valve cover...make certain the surface is very very clean. I even go as far as using denatured alcohol to clean all surfaces. Torque the valve cover nuts down correctly.

Hmm. I am unable to do any of the following right now, because I don't have any tools anymore. I just recently moved out and my Dad was the one doing all the work on my cars in the past. several Hondas and this is the first one with these types of problems.
I'm trying to come up with a solution, but I think taking it to someone is my best option.
you can check the cel with a paperclip. do you lacks no paperclips?
the check engine light will lead you to the answer, thats why its there.
