If you had 3 grand and the money was specifically for making your 97 civic hatch semi quick what would you do to accomplish your goal?? Ive had quite a few ideas a few people tell me to go turbo on my stock d16y7 some people say motor swap. Just want to see some input from the tamparacing crew. thanks yall

SOHC vtec...intake header exhaust cam gear shaved head .02 with money to spare

I went to school with my 3inch Thermal exhaust in my 93 civic hatch b-c i had no where else to put it for the time being , Well this kid walks up and looks in the car and say's " Is that an exhaust" and i say yah. He says" doesnt it get really hot in there?"

I would get a turbo kit and minor bolt onsyou should see at least 14s which is quick to me

buy a swap dont do a b20 unlees you want to go extreme which you dont cause you dont got the cash so forget the b20 buy a gsr swap call it a day mabe throw on bolt ons in future

semi quick means youll be happy with a quicker setup for like 2 months and then youll want to go faster. if you stay with the sohc youll be wishing youd gone dohc vtec. whether thats a b16 or b18 youll have more potential. my suggestion is to find a gsr motor or del sol vtec and go from there.

Ive been shopping around for parts now for about 3months. No matter what way you look at it its going to end up around 3grand or more (depending on parts quality). Factor in the axles the tranny the mounts IM EM ECU etc etc and youre better off just going with a complete swap. Only time Id recommend piecing it together would be if youre already in the B-series family.
