Better to rebulid..VS just get a new motor with VTEC?
Right now I have 94 Teggy with the LS motor (non-vtec) I have most of the bolt-ons brand new headers HiTech Replicas...bascially I wanna go faster however...People are telling me that it would be safe to do Brian Crower 404 with Titanium value spring retainors..(sp) port and polished head on this LS Motor I am afraid that it I do all this work to the top the bottom in is gonna suffer..Plus I dont want to wait.
Or I can just order a TYPE R motor from Japan and that would solve all the problem...I'm just not sure about VTEC...im under the impression Honda made it to save gas and its really not what its all cracked up to be....

damn thas fukd up...I guess alot people will tell u things if your willing to dump money into your car because they dont want you to do something before they can do it...Fukd that I'll just order a new motor and bulid my LS back up and change the tranny. If you dont know ask a question I'd rather ask than look like a moron talking about something I have no clue about,
ITR swap ftw building an LS is pointless unless you go ls vtec.
Transplanting a B18C/C5 motor into your Integra is the best thing you could possibly do, affordably and naturally aspirated. Second best option would be a B18C1. I would highly recommend you swap in at least a GSR/B18C1 transmission while you're at it. Don't rebuild the LS motor unless you plan to go the forced induction route.

Vtec is for gas mileage and I-Vtec is for power.

VTEC is the same thing as running economy cams in low rpms, and performance cams in high rpms. VTEC = POWER! i know because my buddy's '00 Trans Am just got worked by two Civic B16 Si(s) last night. i'm doing the built LS route though because it's cheaper.
and you can run boost on either motor. you'll actually make more power on a VTEC motor on low boost then an LS low compression on high boost. with a lower comp motor you have no low end, no torque, and once the turbo spools you bury the needle before you actually make any usable power.
