uncontrolled idle HELP!!

Default uncontrolled idle HELP!!

i have a 94 civic ex. i came across a problem about a week ago. my idle is uncontrolled. itll go up and down even after the car is warmed up. it drives fine and doesnt overheat but once i put it in nuetral there goes the idle going up and down. can anybody tell me what is the problem? thanks

im dealing with the same problem at the moment, its either the idle air control valve, or some people recently have told me that it could be the throttle position sensor

idle air control valve, tps mabye. I had this problem happen to me and it was my intake manifold gasket broken.

fast idle thermo valve needs to be rebuild probably....

thanks guys thats what i was told it was but i just wanted to make sure....is the tps the little sensor that is right next to the idle control valve?

first thing i would do is eliminate the idle air control plug up the hole in the TB (JB weld putty)and create a small vacuum leak to control idle as u see fit , thats what i always do my car runs and idles great

No fucking way. How can you advertise in your sig that you do work and fab and post something like this?? .. is it raining morons in the honda/acura tech section? WTF. Don't do what mogo21 is saying. Listen to SuburbanNoize and the rest of us source the problem and fix/replace faulty parts..
