would arp rod bolts help prevent it from spinning a bearing?
the last thing i want is for it to start knocking.

Your redline is going to be whatever the stock bottom end had. Yes the d15 rods are weak but can handle more power than your mini-me will put out. With a vtec head you can make a bit more power up top and probably stretch the redline to the stock y8 7200. And dont forget to use the b7's cam gear.

Arp rod bolts help if you are planning on revving your motor to more than stock redline because they are thicker than oem rod bolts so they last longer and prevent engine wear to a certain extent. Think of it this way; if you are building a motor and you want it to be reliable, you can beat on it sometimes obviously because that is what you are building it for, but take care of it by general maintenance/proper assembly and getting arp rod bolts because they give you peace of mind when you are revving higher than your block was built for stock. Hope i helped out a bit. Good luck with your build homie.

^ close on the arps they are just about the smae size if not tinytiny smaller its just they are made from super treated alloy thats hardered and rolled to make them pretty much unstreachable"on a motor that is"the main thing on a spun bearing is your rods bolts"not oil lose like most think" so yes arps will help..as for reving if your useing a stock Y8 cam your not really thing of what you can rev to as to what power the cam stops at,and i dont think you will make power much higher then 6600 or so

^ok i will add to that i just checked the arps the cap part of the bolt is smaller but the rod part is same size just smooth unlike the stock that have the grooves,i should of thought of that cause 90% time it needs resizing sorry
