h23 frankenstein ques.
So i had a low rider truck and needed to get rid of it and traded it for a 93 accord coupe with a h23a block and h22 vtech head. My truck was just as messed up as this swap but oh well. The timing was way off ran like crap, mis-fired crazy, did a tune up, plug, wires, rotor, cap, few sensors, new axle and other crap. Later it ran fine drove it and the timing belt broke on it. Went to local store and got a belt for a prelude but it was too tight so my question is do i need a belt for h22 or h23 vtech or not, does it make a diff?
ps....i know that you should never buy a swap car lol

H22 belt, with the H23 manual tensioner its hard to slide the belt on, but it can be done.
Put it on the cams and crank gear first, then turn the crank pulley counter clockwise. Once you have plenty of slack on the water pump side, slip the belt on over the water pump.
Then set proper belt tension and tighten up the tensioner.
