rear control arm

Default rear control arm

im getting ready to get some new springs for my eg coupe and i know the rear lower control arm bolt tends to break and mess up the contol arm cuz its happend to me and other people and i wanted to know if you guys know of any way to keep this from happening and removing the bolts with out breaking...thanks

i have never heard of thos bolts brakeing thos are like grade 100000000 bolts.its hard a fuck to even crossthread them you should be ok

+1 on never hearing them being broken..but i have cross thread one on my ef and to re-do the threads.....and i think its a 1.25 thread pitch...up to this day i still remember off the top of my head thats how much it f%&@ed me up

try pb blaster and not to try to rush though things, I was removing mine to put on a tie bar and i saw the bolt bend and thought it was gonna snap, went to the junkyard, picked up a spare and when i went to remove it, it did not snap.

amazing.
