Default Honda questions

Hope this is the right forum for this but I have some questions concerning some hoses/valves in my 95 civic with (guessing) 1.5l vtec japanese engine with a 5 spd standard transmission.

Pcv pic: This hose has been loose and I really have no idea what to do with it, it reaches the top of the throttle body to the opening in the throttlebody pic but id rather not do shit and fuckup my car, ya know?

egr pic: Was told this was an egr valve but with this engine in it, supposedly theres no egr in this car so its just an open vacuum... best to cap it off and forget about it?

pcvhose pic: its the bottom hose in the pcv pic that is outlined

throttlebody pic: self explanatory, what the fuck is this?

I've tried surfing forums, googling it, looking at engine pics trying to find the answers and it seems that everything is always focusing on something else and with my only source of car help is a nissan 240 head, im left with asking here.

If you need more pics of the rest of the engine or throttle body, i can supply, i just really want this car to be completed and any help is greatly appreciated.

Little background: My car has idling issues, which I take is some sort of IAC valve issue, as in...it spikes from 700rpms to 1.5k rpms and after driving a while idles as low as 200-300rpms and spurts to 700rpms.

The bottom right valve cover bolt is snapped off and leaks oil from the car bouncing and very little oil leaks out (prob has no relation but hey, whatever)

You can respond here or on AIM: Reigansei

Thank you for your time and if its in the wrong place, please move it

Default testing vacuum leaks

Idling issues may be vacuum leaks. Disconnected hoses cause vacuum leaks and worse gas mileage.

To test if a vacuum hose has a vacuum leak, put your finger over the end........if the finger is sucked up against the hose, that hose needs to be connected somewhere. Connect enough hoses and the idling will improve.-Bob
