engine degreaser of your choice, and follow instructions. cover electronics properly mainly the distributor.. with a plastic bag...

You might also plastic bag the alternator.
Pressure wash/steam clean it late at night.....
You might also scrape and scrub it multiple times.
I have used a wire brush in a dremel to get crud out of tight places.-Bob

engine brite I believe its called or gunk buster? i'll look tomorow but I had oil and dirt just running down my motor and transmission lol worked great but I failed hardcore and didnt cover anything so my car was running on 2 cylinders for a day, just had to take the cover off and let it dry out and it was fine but wow yeah before you start spraying anything cover that dizzy it will save you a headache and embarrasment.
