you have a short in the cluster itself?
get a new cluster
if it does it again you might be running too much voltage to it
check your fuses(got a multimeter?)
you could also have a short in your wiring

how could i be running to much voltage to it.. if the same battery has been in the car.. sence i got it? and ill check the fuses
and no wires are melted? sooooooo a short doesnt sound right.. i really dont want to spend money on another cluster if its gunna do it agian.. then im out even more money i dont have...

it was the ground around the cluster that burned? so ground to ground wouldnt be the problem..
