had the same issue when i swapped engines, only difference is i had the engine and trans out. i just double checked everything, and just wiggled it till it slid in.

i also find it easier if someone turns the crank as i tell them to using the bolt on the crank pulley.....especially with a honda.

 

yea i have been doing that... but the tranny just isnt level enough... im gunna fck wit it tomorrow.. but i need to get it done.. Prego gf has doc appt monday

 

Ah... you kinda have to get under it and lift from the back.. a 2 person job sometimes..

did you aline the clutch??

 

if everything is aligned including the clutch then you just need to stop being a little fucking bitch and push it in.

 

There is a letter prefix or suffix on Honda trannys
which determines what will fit a certain engine.

As an example......
If an "E" tranny mated up with your engine, you will
need another "E" tranny to go back in.

It doesn't matter if you pulled an "F" tranny from an
engine that is identical to your engine..........

It doesn't matter if you pulled the "F" tranny from
a car that was identical to your car.............

that "F" won't fit where the "E" was, no matter
what you do.......by any means I have ever tried.

So....check to be sure the stickers/prefixes/suffixes
are the same on both trannys.-Bob

thanks guys... i dunno.. the guy i bought the tranny from said it was an ls tranny ...soo he said it was the same as mine... it looks the same.. the only thing is i can tell you what tranny it is because the sticker is missing on the tranny so ill never know what tranny it is...
