would it be worth it to mod the nonvtec dx engine or just swap the engine out?

With a zex kit your car could be a decently quick daily driver for $500.
IMPO performance has a 10 second single cam civic. That will cost a bit more than $500 .
For a gsr swap youre looking at $4000 and wont be much (if any) faster than a zex kit but will have potential to me much faster if budget allows.

I dont know if you could do it without stroking/boring it out. Pistons cam tuning and slicks may get you 15s... youre going to have to make about an additional hundred hp over stock to see low 14s. I assume this is a 96-00 dx coupe?

i was looking for more of a a price estimate..but i think i changed my mind cuz i realized it is almost impossible to get low 14s with that car.I was thinking high 14s low 15s.

...Get a sohc vtec head with the intake manifold...port+polish the headholley throttle bodyzex kit w/there cam and a cam gear...thats it...low to high 14s...if u wanna do it pm me....u can start just by getting the sohc vtec head put on...
