Alternator help!!

hey guys on my lil im puttin on an Alternator belt. well ill try to loosen the lower bolt holding the alternator and that bitch wont budge!!!! i sprayed that bitch down with liquid wrench and it wont move. how would u guys go about this problem? it looks like if i take out the axle i MIGHT be able to fit an impact gun. is this so? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks guys

you can remove the top bolt (adjusting bolt) of the alternator and then take your hands or a large screw driver to move the alternator enough to put the new belt on without even taking the bottom bolt off but yeah it is a bitch to get off especially if you took an impact gun to install all your accessories onto your motor before putting it back into the car arrrrgggggghhhhh. yeah sometimes what I mentioned will work sometimes it wont have you tried a breaker bar on that bottom bolt? I know there isnt much room there I just replaced mine 2 weeks ago. Could only move that bolt about 1/4 of an inch at a time. Just keep using liqued wrench and keep tugging on that bitch. How long of a ratchet are you using?

Dont go through all the trouble of taking off an axle just to get an impact gun up there. Youve got two options breaker bar or go and buy a universal joint that is compatible with impact guns and try that out.

Never had any problems with mine but I did have a bitch of a time talking off the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on I used the bar from my jack and sliped it on my breaker bar and that gave me the extra torque I needed you can try this but you might need to get the car jacked up high enough the clear the bar. hope this helps

hey if the breaker bar dont work what do u think of heating up the bolt. i just found a bad ass propane torch in the cabinet in my bathroom (i havent the slightest idea how it got there).
would heating up the bolt be a no no? thanks
