Post Starting a 96 honda civic EX engine project.

I need some advise on where to start. The car is entirely stock. No modifications at all. My stock engine just died on it. I would like to start with replacing the engine and transmission. Any advise? local places where I can buy a low mileage engine and transmission? Anything would be great.

My advice?

Quit while you're ahead.

I would start by ignoring useless posts like the one above

Second, set out a realistic budget and a realistic goal. Once you have those ideas, we can give you a lot better advice

Hmotorsonline.com has decently priced engines/transmissions and all their engines come with start up warranties.

It all depends on your budget.

A B series swap can run you anywhere from $3,000-$7,000 depending on motor/transmission and parts used.

K series will run you $5,000+.
