yesssss dude it makes a world of a difference!!! it will not start with out the proper grounds.. u need all your grounds hooked up!! tranny valve cover and there is a couple more around the dash area.. i would get a service manual and find out where they are at and check them if you took more than the engine out.. my car would not start when i swap my engine in, and it was cuz of the ground on the tranny... i hooked it on and buala the car car came to life.. hope it helps and if it does you owe me big time!!

on from the tranny to frame and one from valve cover to radiator support, theres also one thats on the wiring that goes on the thermostat housing.

If its not turning over it could be a bad starter, or your wiring is messed up. Is the motor seized? Try spinning the crank with your hand. If it spins freely then thats not the issue. Does it try to make any sound at all when you turn the key? If all of that is good it should at least turn over. If it turns over and you still cant get it started. Check Fuel/Spark/Compression.

i think theres a problem with the wiring the motor isnt seized the starter works all the electrical works except for the fuel pump and the starter....im thinkin theres a bad relay or something thats stopping the current from gettin to that part of the harness

If the car was operating normally before you put the new engine in then more than likely its something in the engine bay. How about the small wire for the starter?

An extra ground from the valve cover to the shock tower on the drivers side wouldnt hurt.
