im going to be converting an SOHC del sol to 5 speed. i know the linkage is differant from the civic ones. but what i dont know it HOW theyre differant? is the del sol one shorter? longer? bent differantly? can i cut and weld civic linkage on there? i have searched all over and everything i find is for b-series and everything just says "buy delsol VTEC linkage" well im not doing a b-swap and its not worth the $1xx to get it from the dealer. if anyone knows please lmk asap this is the only thing holding up the conversion. or if you have some SOHC del sol linkage i can buy/borrow i would appriciate it.

I have sohc del sol linkage that you can look at. Del sol linkage is specific both D&B, but im not sure how as you said.

 

I would carry my old linkage down to the boneyard
for a comparison......-Bob

i'm not sure about the length, but i do know that they are bent differently. Since the shifter is kinda "elevated" in the del sol center console, the linkage actually comes off the trans and bends up.
