street tune VS dyno tune
OP, You know there is more than one or even two dynos in Tampa right?
Both have their pros/cons. Imo both should be done. But. If a car isn't safe at higher speeds on the road than dyno tune is going to be the only way. And a lot of the Hondas I see are not safe at higher speeds regardless what the owners think/say. On the dyno you're going to have more control of everything. Get your timing curve, find mbt, etc. I could go on and on but in the end it's going to benefit you all to get both a dyno and street tune

dyno> street tune .... my was ecu was chipped and street tune was done by an indivuadal no names this is not about that.... anywho i decided to see jap and and get a dyno tune i have a stock jdm gsr with a hytech replica header first pass car made like 155 whp and like 119 tq after the dyno session was done motor put out 176whp and 134 now you tell me why wouldnt you wait?
Depending on your setup you need both. If its mild (bolt-ons) your A/F will be close w/ and good base map. If its more than that (cams, pistons, injectors) you need to street tune and dyno tune. The street tune will give you more in the long run.

I would always want both. A dyno tune, unless done on a load dyno will only be able to accurately tune WOT pulls. A street tune get everything in the middle much better and makes sure that the car will run in street conditions. I would always tune my AFRs on the street first then move in to the dyno and go for power with ignition timing and small afr corrections.
Making a car run just like stock is a longer process than just a couple hours on a dyno.

As Alpha says, if the car is unsafe or the owner is a dousche....stick that crap on the dyno. If the car is solid and you want real world loads / conditions, put it on the street to start and get it close. Then fine tune on the dyno with IG and cam gears. If you own a dyno dynamics dyno, or something with a brake that you can set the loads (and know how) then put it on the dyno. Touch up things at the track afterwards. Go thru logs and touch up, etc.
