Tapping in the engine!!!
well i just did a rebuild on my stock ls bottom end, new main and rod bearings new, oil pump, water pump, etc....
well i started my car up and drove it for 100 miles and it started to make a tapping sound like it was a rod nock sound but it didnt come from the bottom end, it mostly sounds like its coming from the head, i checked the oil for metal shavings didnt find any so idk what else to do, i just took out my cams but didnt find anything interesting of where the sound would come from

no vtec head stock ls head with new valve train, about 7k miles on it, i did the valve adjustment but still knocking sound

loud knock from the block it might be a stuck lifters like i said before try putting some seafoam in the head it should clean it all off.

did you check the specs on the bearings?if it was not making it when you first started then sounds like there was to much gap and is now starting to wear down,why did the bottom need rebuilding?was the crank checked?is it a tapping or more like a light thuddish rattle sound
