possible type r trans
i boght a dc integra for 1000$ and the guy said it had a type r trans
but the serial code sticker on the front of the tranny has been taken off
also on the top of the trans by the vent (ig thats what it is ) it has 3 octagon shaped holes punched in it on my ls trans it has LS stamped inside and on the (type r) it has S2 stamped there any body know what this means?

Check the differential hole for a LSD. If you can see straight through it, it has LSD.

I thought all hydro trannies came with vinplates,not stickers?

but as for this im sure the tranny is not typeR other wise its worth more then the car

i was talking about my d-series tranny that IS hydro. either that or i fucked up putting those hydrolic lines from the clutch master to the slave

Is there a round bar in the middle of it?if not then u might be lucky have you driven it yet

As far as vin's go not all had them. If I'm not mistaken they started putting the vins on the tranny's on the 96 and newer models as well as the motors before that the tranny's just had the sticker.
