Post h22a1 what ECM

Hey I have looked around here and honda-tech and still have not figured my problem's out.

37820-P28-A02760-722584... How do I find out if that is A 5 speed ECM or A auto?

My problem is the REV'S stop at 3,500 like alot of threads. And most of them never come back and state there ancer to it.

I have heard to check the grounds (will do today after it warms up)

I have heard that it could be the ECM. Do you HAVE to have your P28 chiped to work in A EG h22a1 swaped car?

The person I recived the car from has soo many wires hacked and spliced togeather that I get sick when I look at it. So I want to buy a good harness to do this the right way. I heard I should buy A EG SOHC VTEC harness? Is that prudent?

I have heard of bad injectors. thats self explanitory (get new ones)

And I donot have the VTEC hooked up. But that should not cause it to stop at 3,500 ?.

So what I am asking is. from people that this has happend to. What did you do? What fixed your problem?

even if you dont got your p28 chipped it still should go to atleast 4500 or more ... but just cause your not wired for vtec it dont mean it dont go all vtec basically is is constant power after you load onto high cam ... id get your p28 chipped asap if its not already ...

Default H22a1

I just checked 2 grounds. The one to the head and the one from the battery. The motor bay was just painted before the swap and looks like they left a layer of primer and paint. So I cleand them up and no change.

I looked at the ECM and I donot see an aftermarket chip or any work on it.

When I start it up it bogg's pretty bad. I have to keep trying to give it gass to keep it running...Then it spits and sputters cuase of the amount of fuel.

I guess I need a chipped P28 huh...? I just have a feeling it's something stupid. I got rid of my fully built 4g63t eclipse becuase it was doing something about the same. Not this time though. I will not raise the white flag. I will not.

All so it has a shunk2 intake manifold. And right by the TPS there are two vaccum outlets that are curved downward. and they look important, But there not hooked to anything...? I'm thinking IAC? maybe thats why it wont even idel?

It is a 5 speed p28, I don't know why you would try running a 2.2 dual cam motor off a stock ecu from a 1.6 liter single cam. Do you really thing that it's getting enough fuel off that ecu, seems like a good way to hurt your motor.

I would go over all the wiring and vacume line on your swap while getting a new ecu, whether its chipping you p28 or getting a p13

I would pay for your gas if you would come out and help me take a better look. It would be nice if it is Just an ECM problem. and I thought the P13 was only for the JDM H22A1'S? And I just got this car 2days ago bearly running. needs some minor stuff but nothing to bad. I just want to get it running right then worry about (bad mount, headliner,it has 4 door corner lights..) It was a 17 year olds car. What can I say.

And I really want to know what harness to use becuase this thang is an eye sore.

And the P28 came in it, Not my fault. I know just as much about h22's as I know brain surgury.

If you really have them ECM'S you were saying your time would not be over looked.
