Default squeaky nouse when clutch is engaged?

That's basically it, whenever the clutch is engaged it seems I hear a moderately high pitched "squeaky" noise when accelerating. If I depress the clutch, therefore disengaging it, the noise goes away. Even if I'm rolling with the clutch disengaged, or rev, it will not make the noise.

Anyone have any idea what this might be? Also seems to be a slight "raspy" noise when I accelerate, at times. Not the engine, but seems like something else.

It's a B16A2.

Thanks!

Throwout bearing, replace and your noise will go away

So the squeaking is the throwout bearing? I was thinking of just getting a new clutch overall soon (Exedy Stage1 + lightweight flywheel), so I might just wait.

Just to make it clear, when I press down on the clutch pedal the squeaking goes away, and as long as I keep it pressed down, it's gone. When I let it back up and it engages into gear again, the squeaking noise is there. And the raspy noise is only when I accelerate in gear.

Thanks!

Thanks man, appreciate it. For the tranny to come out and the clutch replaced, does the whole engine have to come off?

You can do it that way if you want, or you can do it with the motor in the car. Get a new clutch kit and it will most likely come with a new throwout bearing. Even though I recommend OEM honda

Yah I was looking into OEM. I'm checking out the parts here, and from what I take I need:

4868147 004 1 DISK, FRICTION
18542 005 1 DISK, PRESSURE

Is there any reason really to get a new flywheel?

Thanks!

Go with an oem exedy clutch kit (Carquest sells them) as they supply Honda with their clutch kits, just rebadged with Honda boxes. I would recommend you also not go with a flywheel that's less than 12 lbs. in a car such as an integra.

Gave CQ a call and they quoted me at $262 for a clutch kit, didn't have any cheaper ones. If I get the friction/pressure disks from Honda isn't that the same?
