Vortech si running 9psi with aftercooler=272/185. add on a lsd and a nice clutch i/h/e... you got yerself a 14.3..?
checkout the winter edition honda tuning if you havent seen it.
i believe walter made a 14.3 and lets just say hes not quite to 272 just yet.

First off 9psi IS NOT 9psi. Larger turbos produce more CFM there for can produce more hp.

As far as a SI running 270+whp with 8-9psi.... Mine hit 279.9whp with 8-9psi. Got the DYNO to prove it.

And none of this takes into account the power curve that these units create...

Power curve is right! its just a straight up climb from 6k but before that bleh.

i know it sounds hard to believe that it is a stock si pulling that much on only 9 psi but charles is very right about the displacement portion. the problem is getting the centrifugal blower to launch right because it is like a turbo by nature but blowers run straight off the motor and so the centrifugal still needs spool up time. if it were a roots it would have balls right off the line. and btw i run 8psi and am not anywhere near that much power. before anyone comes back on that comment... i am not vtec but not stock either.
oh yeah and the si tranny is not quite geared for blistering 1/4s

quick correction on ronins post...

The SI tranny is not quite geared for blistering 1/4s on boost

ah yes forgot there was a non-boost. although ive been doing some thinking...
