Default HONDA Guru's needed please

Okay guyz. I just picked up 1994 gsr and the original owner must have been a dumbass. well to start of the vtec is hooked up to a switch. When the switch is on the vtec will hit at 5k rpm. After hitting it like 2 or 3 times It will stop hitting vtec and run like a ls. It will rev high and all just wont hit vtec. i have to shut off the car and pull out the key and insert it again for it to hit vtec again and sometimes it wont even work after that. Any help would be appreciated.

Next. if i rev slowly while driving until i hit vtec, one i hit vtec it feels like the motor starts to jerk back and forth (sorta like a bogging type thing)P, but if i stop on it after i engage it pulls hard.

Also some times in low rpms if i step on the gas normal it feels like its hesitating. The car would jerk then start driving fine.

The wire that hooks up to the abs fuses is not hooked up the battery. is there anything else that that is hooked up the abs area that may be affected by it?

The car is a 94 gsr teg and the motor is a 98 gsr. How exactly can i tell if the whole harness is obd-2. I know 98 was obd2.

Thanx again guyz.

-chris

Ok

First a Haynes/Chiltons manual for your car might help you identify what "The wire that hooks up to the abs fuses is not hooked up the battery. is there anything else that that is hooked up the abs area that may be affected by it?"
It might also help you on your plight to understanding your Honda vehicle better.

Thats just one issue, your other issue is
"Okay guyz. I just picked up 1994 gsr and the original owner must have been a dumbass. well to start of the vtec is hooked up to a switch. When the switch is on the vtec will hit at 5k rpm. After hitting it like 2 or 3 times It will stop hitting vtec and run like a ls. Your VTECHHHH not working.
Do you have any CELs? Have you checked the vtec wiring?

Then your last issue
"Also some times in low rpms if i step on the gas normal it feels like its hesitating. The car would jerk then start driving fine."

^ I dont know anyone in the world that can diagnose a car from the internet with this information.
If you find him hit me up. I need the lotto numbers quick.
It could be anything from and not limited to....
Fuel filter, air filter, MAF sensor or other sensor, distributor, fuel pump, injectors, compression problems, spark plugs, wires, etc.

How many wires hook up the battery from the abs unit?

Yea I know the common problems and that is why I listed them on my second post.
"Do you have any CELs? Have you checked the vtec wiring?"

Sorry if I offended you, I just got on newbie mode and let it rip without even checking your respectable post # or rep #. Once you answer those things you will be able to help out whoever decides to help you next.

Take your car to SPRJIT22 on here. Hes a monster. If you mean your v tec is hooked on a msd rpm activating switch thats a half assed job. You should just get a good vtec solenoid, a good vtec harness, and a good vtec ecu. Than have terry aka sprjit22 put your motor back the way it sho9uld have come from the factory. Its hard to diagnose your problem because i dont even understand your problem.
