If the switch is going bad, check for some type of electrical issue. Have you put the solenoid on another car to see if it is actually that?

check your oil, if your oil isnt at the proper level vtec wont work and that CEL will come on. If it did indeed come on cause of low oil, u were a good quart and a half low on oil, I know this by expierence

It could be your vtec wiring/ground. Is the car a GSR? or an LS/GS/RS If its not a gsr it will not have vtec wiring, unless whoever did the swap wired it. You should check to see if thats there first. Look at the solenoid and follow the wiring. If not check to see that you have a gsr ecu. Then do the wiring its easy.

try the ecu, also mine wasnt crossing over into vtec because i didnt have enough oil pressure. check and make sure that you have at least 55psi of oil pressure or vtec will not enguage.

I would check all the other things before doing this. Just because he is throwing a vtec pressure switch code I would not assume the ecu is bad.
You can bring the car over and Ill take a look at your vtec wiring if you want.

Have someone look at it that knows about the wireing. Make sure you have a good connection also.
