CEL on but doesnt throw a code

Default CEL on but doesnt throw a code

i got a po6 chipped from Phearable its chipped for y8 basemap and vtec i wired up all the vtec wires to it and now when i get on it the CEL comes on and stayes on untill i shut it off then try to get the code and it doesnt say its throwing a code.

any ideas of what it could be??

ecu is bad possibly, mine does the samething.

When you turn the key to KOEO (Key on engine off) does the CEL go off then turn on once the car is running or stay on the entire time ?

Check the ECU fuse in the fusebox and then go from there

i just drove it again the CEL light comes on at 5200 thats what vtec is set at but it stays on the whole time i drive the car untill i shut it off the car

and yeah the cel stays off till i hit 5200 then it stays on..

the car drives normal the whole time

Sounds like a problem with your vtec wiring/ground. or your ecu is fried.

Check your wiring. Do you have a multimeter?
