The z6 is a great engine. I have a y8 which is similar but not exactly the same and I love mine.

mine was at 219,000 before i rebuilt it. I ran it for about 15,000 miles prior to that with a greddy kit and 75 shot of zex and all it did was blow the headgasket. Thats why i kept the son of a bitch

God Damn it!!!, You SOHC builders are supposed to say this motor is a big piece of shit so that the OP will swap for a B-series. How are we supposed to get spare parts now!!!

hahaha the d16z6 is a great motor. has great oil flow etc. the only real downfall is the piston rings go bad fairly quicker than the y8 or y7. g/l but i say throw an ls in it for about the same cost as a sohc and selling it with a dohc will make you more $$$ anyways
