Buyers be wary...

I bought a used turbo from John Solero aka "blown99civicsi" at Modified Racing (there was a FS thread up(https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/po...rbo-fs-ft.html)
I sent it in to Precision Turbo to rebuild. When they finally took it apart it turned out to have a chewed turbine wheel. The culprit appears to have a been a hose clamp that was still inside the turbo housing when it was last run (I never installed it).
I called and miraculously Jon answered and agreed to get me a replacement. He did not answer any of my follow up phone calls, emails or text messages.
I also wrote emails to the paypal address of what John told me was his customer's paypal. I also called the business to speak with the paypal account owner.
I now understand that Paypal account belongs to the step-parents of another Tampa Racing Forum member who knows and/or works with Jon, "StrictlyBusiness".
Seeing the info in his new sig, I called Relentless RPM and asked to speak with Jon. I spoke with his boss, Brad who I told the entire story too. That evening I get an email sent to my cell phone from Jon that the turbo was fine when he sent it and Modified Racing is filing Chap 7.
I also received a PM here on the forum from "StrictlyBusiness" telling me to stop contacting his step-parents paypal that the turbo was not broken when he used it.

I know that there have been a number of reports on Jon in years past (https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/ho...acing-inc.html).
I hope to resolve this situation with the help of your community. I am asking for an exact replacement turbine wheel or $160.
I plan on commenting on both users "Trader Ratings" as well.

Everyone knows I dont sell bad shit. NO ONE HAS HAD ONE BAD INCOUNTER WITH ME. This man went 6 months untill saying something. He says we left a hose clamp in the turbo? IT WAS NEVER ON MY CAR.

John was selling the turbo FOR ME, I bought the turbo from another TR member (TunerElite) and sold it in the EXACT condition it was in! Everyone knows I dont sell bad shit. Your not getting no where.

BTW the pics of the hose clamp you sent was in perfect condition, if it chewed the wheel how come it didnt chew the hose clamp? I will post the pics if you like, Im SURE THE HOSECLAMP would give before the turbine wheel

your a complete BULL SHIT ARTIST. i personally inspected that turbo before s/b bought it and before he sold it. that turbo was in excellent condition with zero shaft play, all fins in 100% perfect working order,with no so called" hose clamp" inside the turbo housing..

this is complete bull and the turbo was sold to you in PERFECT condition!!!

what u did with the turbo after it was sold im not sure. but the validity of ur argument and accusations is completely ridiculous and incorrect..

 

I just can't understand how a hose clamp gets mysteriously stuck inside the turbo.

Sounds like you installed it,something went wrong,you don't have the cash to fix it,so you blame it on someone else.

 

What I dont get is how come you didnt hear it rattling inside? Even if you didnt put it on the car, when you moved it around it should have made noise

Now, dont go and say "it was wedged in there" because I have the picture you sent TO MY MOMS PAYPAL ACCOUNT, and its in PERFECT condition, not one that was chopped up inside a turbine wheel.


Thanks guys, we know whats going on. I know John has had some bad things said about him, but its not his fault he was helping ME OUT, the turbo we sold was fine. The ONLY reason we sold it was because I changed my power goals and it wasnt big enough.

 

lemme know what kinda hose clamp that is so i can buy stock in the company............thats some bulletproof shit right thur.
