How complex is it to change out the 5th gear in my J1 tranny The gears are nice and short for racing but when I hop onto 75 I notice that the 5th gear is to damn short at 75mph my tach reads almost 4700 and driving at 80mph with the VTEC Cam in action really kills my gas. what tranny has a longer 5th which I can swap into my J1 ? or would it be better to jsut change the entire tranny if so what tranny has short gearing like my J1 with a longer 5th?

The cable LS tranny has the longest fifth gear. Most b16a trannies has tight gearing so its no fun on the highway. Ive heard that you can swap in the ls fifth gear and counter shaft to the b16a tranny. Im still trying to find this out for a fact since I use the highway often myself.
