Resetting the ecu

I need someone to refresh my memory on resetting an ecu. I know you pull the fuse but how long do you need to idle the car before driving it if somone could give me step by step directions it would be appreciated.

just UN-hook the (-) battery cable for a few seconds. Then start the car and run it for about 5 minutes.. that will reset it..

actually the best way to do it is pull the backup fuse in the under hood fuse box.

once you put it back in start the car and let it idle until it is fully warmed up fan kicks in twice. Then shut it off and start it back up should be good to go.

I just went to the team integra web page and it said to make sure the car is warmed up before taking out the ecu fuse is this really necessary?

Think of it this way... the car is resetting everything... a warm car is a normal car. If the car is cold it will run different and have different needs then when it is warmed up.
