Resetting the ecu

just UN-hook the (-) battery cable for a few seconds. Then start the car and run it for about 5 minutes.. that will reset it..

actually the best way to do it is pull the backup fuse in the under hood fuse box.

once you put it back in start the car and let it idle until it is fully warmed up fan kicks in twice. Then shut it off and start it back up should be good to go.

Think of it this way... the car is resetting everything... a warm car is a normal car. If the car is cold it will run different and have different needs then when it is warmed up.
