Ok, not only do I have loud LMAs or whatever due to my new S2 intake manifold but now it is whistling at about 3,000 rpms and stops at 3,400 rpms!!! I am using a OEM ITR throttle body, all of the vacuum lines are hooked up, all of the vacuum lines are brand new, the throttle body gasket is brand new and is sealing perfectly, the intake manifold gasket is brand new and sealing properly, the air temp sensor is looking good and sealing properly, the map sensor is sealing perfectly, the IACV has a brand new seal, etc. I cleaned the IACV once it was off with some carb cleaner, could that of stripped some sort of lubricant off of something inside there to make it loud and/or whistle?! I seen a thread about a whistling sound like this a few weeks back, I just never seen the out come of the other guys whistling. I need some help as this as it is very annoying.

 

They have a tendency to do that. I had a Skunk manifold on my Honda and it never whistled but I know of a few people who had theirs whistle.

 

yea, mine did the same thing. sounds kinda cool I just left it alone!

 

yeah, I contacted skunk2 about it and they want me to email them my problem. I should hear something back from them soon. apparently, no one has ever complained to them about this problem.

 

if its not broke, dont fix it.

Aftermarket Intake Manifold, S2 70mm TB, AEM Intake, Hondata IM gasket.

The only way it stops is if i give it less then 5% throttle LOL

 

I think it sounds cool..lol. but after i went boost it went away. Kinda interesting because when my cuplings flew off, the whistling came back lol, then fixed it and its gone. lol just go boost and it will stop. haha

 

mine whistles, runs good, and eventually after driving it for a while...u stop hearin it lol. just get a louder fart can! its a typical thing with those intake manifolds.

 

well, I emailed skunk2 and hopefully once they find the problem, they'll release a fix for it. but who knows, they may not care. I hope they do though. apparently I am the first to say anything to them about it.

 

because it runs good like that and sounds clean!!!

I had a skunk2 on my prelude like 4 years ago and it used to whistle. I loved it and the car ran good so fuck it. leave it alone and enjoy your whistle!!
