How loud can injectors be?
Well, I hope it is my injectors! lol! no, i am pretty sure my injectors are clicking, or one is clicking real loud. i just changed my intake manifold from a stock p30 to a s2. it didnt click before now all of a sudden, this tick, tick, tick sound appeared. i adjusted my valves about 2000 miles ago, so i doubt it is that. my valve train is perfect as far as i can tell; i disassembled it before i put the head back on before i adjusted the valves. it idles perfectly, i feel no hesitation when accelerating.
it sounds like someone is shaking the shit out of the pcv valve, to tell you all the truth; it has that same sound. oh, and it only tick, tick, ticks rapidly at 1100-1800 rpms.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

would the loss/lost motion assemblies tap/click louder with a intake change? I never heard this sound before the intake change.

its nothing to worry about. lma's are a pain in the butt to change anyways. mine have clicked for who knows how long. its nothing to worry about really. if you ever have the valvetrain apart, that would be the time to replace them. you have to pull the cams and rockers and everything out to get to them.

Sweet, thanks. I believe the new style "LMA's" are part number 14820-PCB-305. I just can't believe it didn't do it before now all of a sudden, after I change out the intake manifold, it starts this ticking sound. It is just weird.
