So some guy was telling me that if you put an h22 vtec solenoid on a b series vtec head that the vtec will open harder, idont agree. what do you guys think

 

will it even fit? if it does, I doubt it will do anything different being you can't compress a liquid.

how "hard" your vtec crosses over is by no means a measure of how fast your car is. vtec crossovers are supposed to be smooth becuase if tuned right, its supposed to be set right where the low cam stops making power, and right where the big cam begins to make power. just because its loud does not mean its efficient.

The solenoid is nothing but a switch.
Imagine if I tried to sell you a wall switch that will turn your kitchen light on faster?
