Compression Ratio help!!!!

lol yeah im not the most knowalageabl about the 4 cylinder builds sleving and all this is a mystery to me, lol but im learning as i go and every ones tells ya some thign diffrenent so i gotta see what happnes, you know throw it at the wall and see what sticks

Call JE, arrange to send those pistons back and get the right ones.

If you plan on sleeving it still, do it. Sleeve it and run 9.5:1~ comp. ratio.
9.5 is NOT to high, John Vega will know what to do with it.

Boost loves compression. Your buddy is completely wrong with the 8.8:1 compression ratio comment. Yes, your cylinder pressures will be higher with a greater CR and more boost, but you are/were planning on running a fully built bottom end, it won't be a problem.

You will hate having a 8:1 CR, spooling the turbo will take forever and you will have very low 'off-boost' power.

well i called je the next monday pistons are already on theyre way out so im just guna run em as is for now till i future build
so ill berunning a b16a2 with
comp sever street/compitition cams
oem cam gears
comp steel retainers
oem valves
performance head gasket
je 8.0-1 cr forged pistons
je nitrogen piston rings
eagle h beam forged rods
eagle forged lightweight cromoly crank shaft
oem sleeves 81mm
garet 60 trim t3/t4 9at 30psi)
venom intake manifold
thats the pasic componets of the engine got lots of aditional stuff but thats the main shit for the engine

get rid of this usless item"eagle forged lightweight cromoly crank shaft"and buy a valveTrain with TT retainers and ss valves,and a nice clutch set
