i try yesterday and it blink and the it pulse and blink and pulse and so on..it kept doing that so i really didn't know what type of code it was throwing....

1 pulse and 2 blinks adds up to 12.
Get the idea?
You check it with the engine off, ignition in run position, service jumper jumped.

code 12 is egr lift sensor.

Make sure you are putting in the jumper wire before you turn the car to the run position. So Key off. plug in jumper wire, then turn key to run position. that should work.

Solid blinks are ten... quick blinks are 1. So 1 solid flash and 2 quick flashes equals 12 as stated previously. Good luck.

I didn't say the code was a 12, I said one long and two shorts would be a 12.
I was trying to make sure you know how to read the code and how the math works.
