OMFG....I went to pick up the new starter, asked if they could test it before I leave...and low & behold, it's got a huge crack in it So they have to order another one, which won't be here til tomorrow.

mine did that and had a new starter. had batt in same place. i think since it has to travel that far to the front it looses volts maybe? lol. ( if ur new new starter does it still.)

we've been thinking about that as well. We did the battery relocate over a year ago, and the starting problem has been the past few months. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it was just the starter, since the last 2 have been bad. But this is my luck, with every damn car I've owned If I wasn't madly in love with this one, she'd be gone already

i am having the exact problem with my rex right now. seems like it is hit or miss with the starts. sometimes it wont click at all, and sometimes it will start right away. i was thinkin main relay. i replaced the battery and checked the starter and ground already. i will prob take the ground off and sand a little bit like everyone says. i feel u though with being sick of all this bullshit. seems like 1 problem after another with the rex.

Ok, I just put in replacement starter #2 and so far everything is good...but that's what I thought last time. I was worried I did something wrong last time since I'd never done a starter before, but by now I think I'm a pro If anything happens again, I'll be back!!
