Where can I go to have my stock flywheel lightened? Ill be running it with a centerforce II setup.. What does something like that cost? How long should I expect my ride to be down while the work is being done? Thanks- Timbo

 

most mahchine shops should be able to do it should only take them a couple hours max should be around $75-150 depending where you take it and how they do it and if it gets balanced which I would highly suggest or else the extra vibration will not only vibrate the hole entire car so bad the windshield wipers bounce up and down off the windshield but it will also eventually ruin your mains.

Really? You think a lightened stock flywheel would runa higher risk to break or whatever than an aluminum flywheel? I wouldnt have guessed that... Do you have any other info?

yeah its possible to get a stock lightened flywheel to shatter but youre gonna have to take quite a bit of material off it and have a VERY hard engagement to do it. I wouldnt lower a stock flywheel more below 11lbs.

Yah I was only looking to go about 12lbs.. And my clutch isnt for a full-race application..
