what do you think would be a better tranny for a boosted Poor Man's Type-R
Si or GSR???

lol well i called 2 mechanics in my area while my internet was down a few minutes ago and one said i should go with something that was designed for vtec than the other said ls or GSR for boosted apps.... if that helps any

no. if you have good suspension then stick with the shorter geared si tranny. u should never sacrifice gears for suspension. just bc u have a longer geard tranny doesnt mean ull be faster. i bet if u had a good suspension setup your et's would be .2-.3 seconds faster with an si over an ls tranny.

go with a B16 tranny, besides a different 5th gear I believe the B16 tranny is almost equivalent with the B18C5 tranny.

gsr ftw short but not as short si tranny can do 80 on the hihway without being vtec and if you have a shit load of horsepower you just ganna spin like crazy with the extra short gears i say gsr its and in between plus shorter gears dont always win i got a jdm gsr in an ek and i beat up up on b16 eg's eks etc

i to would go with the Gsr...longer gears with your better Tq will make you very happy

hence the shitty suspension setup. gsr is prob the best for street turbo apps. but a b16 will get u better et's with good suspension.

... yeah so i kno this has nothing to do with my thread but i was just watching tv and that merc2 commercial came on and it always cracks me up lol "O NO HE DIDN'T!!!"
