Angry 99 civic si wont start

After I detailed the motor (degreaser and hose washing), (I covered with plastic sheet the distributor cap, nothing else). I started the car up and began acting up, you know running rough, and after a few runs the motor went dead. I tried to start it up again and nothing. It turns but wont start. I have changed the spark plugs and the wires and still wont start. Any suggestions?

water may have gotten in the dizzy some how even with your attempts to safeguard it. open it blow it out, spray some sort of water dissapator let it sit for a little bit to further air dry re install and keep your fingers crossed.
