Default Almost a semi built SOHC!?!? NOTEC!?!?

I am gonna be doing some work on my D16y7 in the next week or so.

And wanted to know how this sounds.

Stock motor d16y7

Y8 Intake Mani
-OBX TB spacer (Came w/ Y8 manifold... )

Custom Short shifter
AEM dry flow short ram intake
No name 4-2-1 Header
2in crush bent piping
Magnaflow cat
Cherry bomb muffler/resonator
OBX twin loop muffler
New parts (not counting other parts, radiator, belts, mounts..)
-NAPA timing belt
-OEM water pump
-NAPA headgasket
-NAPA valvestem seals
-Auto Zone oil pan seal
-OEM valve cover seal
-P29 Nippon High compresson pistons
-NPR chrome rings
-Wrist pins
-ACL Rod bearings

How does that sound? Something simple, low in cost, sould be a small but noticable improvement, the high comp. pistons wont hurt the motor will they?

It is said to raise it to 11.4-12.5 or something like that, depening on motor.

Thanks.

P.S. no BS comments please, like sell the car. And I'm not swaping the motor, thank you for checking this out. Let me know what ya'll think.

Oh yea I forgot to mention possble future plans.

Y8 tranny, or something better then the Y7 tranny
Stage one street clutch, ACT or something
Stage one Camshaft (if i can find one for a y7...)
Upgrade fuel rail, and injectors, not sure to what..?
The chip and tune the ecu

again something simple, and fun, and not to costly...

Thanks

for the money your going to spend, just put a simple turbo set up on and call it a day

As for camshafts... delta cam has a regrind for a y7, or check out bisimoto i have heard good stuff about him, and he also has a y7 cam

sounds pretty straight to me, i think most of us here started out doing the same things your doing right now. eventually you'll probly want to "upgrade" to either a stronger motor, a turbo, or a strong N/A build.

but what you have listed sounds perfect for a daily driven honda.

If your lookin for different injectors you can run stock LS injectors...and like stated before, while doing the tranny swap do the flywheel and an underdrive pulley. The tranny should make for a fun car.
