For me i personaly love sohc's... i say ditch the pistons and buy a zex kit with 75shot with a z6 head.. just me though.. g/l on your build..

 

+1^ on the zex i sprayed a 75 dry shot on my stock d16y7 for about a year and a half and then went boost i was going through 2 bottles a week! and never had a problem except i had to upgrade the clutch. and i stomped a lot of cars!

 

i like the sound of the zex kit... how much to refill a bottle? and wheere do i even refill the bottle?


Only reason i dont want to go w/ a bottle is because, i want the power there, not some button i hit to give me power for a certain amount of time. Like in a fake racing video game, where you have the "boost" button, then it runs out, and you have to wait to recharge it you know.

ls injectors are the same as stock d series injectors

 

+1 on the injectors also a bottle refill is 25-35 bucks depends on who and how its done. generally 2.50-3.50 a lbs . and with say a 75 shot of nitrous with a 10lb bottle you will get about 10 complete quarter mile passes out of it. i used to be able to go out and run from roll or 1-3rd about 20times on a saturday night and that to me is wayyy too much racing on the motor ya kno? also its cool cause if they are pulling on you just flip the switch and the bull shit ends! g/l i'll help you do the setup if ya want just lmk. i have worked on that car before i think. didnt you trade a crx for it?

 

If you want power that is there and not into turbo or go with a bottle.. i say at least get a dohc..?. all motor sohc's arnt really any power.. even with vtec.. just my o2 cent though.
