Yes, Just take a grinding wheel to the metal and scuff the entire surface, then clear coat it so no rust forms.

I'm working on it. I am trying to figure out a way to mount them to the side. They bolt to the doors but there is no bolt hole got the front. I see other companies using some kind of this metal to stick behind the frame and screw to that, but I have no clue where to get them. I let you know when I come up with something.
