just wondering in everyones opinion is what i have in my car right now is the right stuff to have....

97 LS motor with a p75 ecu and a ls/b20 wiring harness....

i just want to know cuz my car isnt starting at all...it cranks over, gets fuel/spark/air...but doesnt want to completely start.

the harness i have on the LS came off of the b20 i had before....just wondering if maybe i should just buy a new harness and if so, what one am i looking for?

 

The harness & ecu should be working fine.

1. Is the car throwing any codes or is the MIL light on ?
2. What codes is the vehicle throwing ?
3. Did you check the spark plugs to see if they are fouled ?
4. Did you examine the firing order / plug wire order, I have personally seen the chiltons or other cheap manuals be wrong for an integra (firing order list).
5. Was the engine running in another vehicle before ?

There are a lot of variables to look at without seeing a vehicle in person.

 

honestly i dont know ANYTHING about which code is which.
spark plugs are all getting spark and they are all new.
the engine was in an auto teg that was swapped out with something else and it was running.
timing is right on point.
as for the spark plug order, i will check that in the morning.
the only thing that i think MIGHT have something to do with the car not starting is a gut feeling with the harness for some reason.....

Well if the vehicle is getting spark & fuel it must be the firing order or possibly clogged injectors or no noid signal etc. (presuming your only checking for fuel pressure at the rail.)
If there was something wrong with the harness, the vehicle would usually still start or throw a solid code etc.

Again, its hard to tell without seeing the vehicle in person.

think something is a liiiittttle off....could be map sensor?

 

Generally when there is a map sensor issue, the ecu will throw a map sensor code.

What seems to be wrong ?
Is the check engine light on ?

What was the issue ?
