Unhappy having a honda problem

i have an 88 civic with a 94 si motor in it.
ive been having ignition issues since i bought it a year ago.
randomly my car will just keep cranking and cranking and nothing..
most the time, i can just leave for 5-10min come back and it will fire right up.
other times, it wont start for an hour or so and now is one of those moments and im about to take a ball peen hammer and start hulk smashing shit under the hood. (not reli but i wish)

could it be an ecu problem? i have a p28 chip, im not sure what program its running tho..
my distributor coil? i replaced an old one (it was indeed bad) with a used one that tested good but im still having this problem.. maybe it went bad too??
im leaking oil from the o-ring where the distributor mounts on the block but its a tiny leak.
ive replaced plugs and cables a week ago.
my fuel holds 40psi pretty well.

thanks in advance its been driving me insane

could simply be ur fuel pump. its either bad or something to do with the wiring to it. check all that out and see if u can find the prob. remeber u should hear or see ur lights flicker from ur fuel pump. goodluck

dizy=distributor

Sounds like your fuel pump is going. I had a 91 crx si that did the same thing, fuel pump was on its way out.

If the car has been run low on gas it is probley the fule pump because gas is what keeps the fule pump cool also sorry for not explaining myself better .If you look at a trouble shooting guid it will tell you to look at your coil,ignitor ,fule pump and a few other things so hope it helps and gl.
