having a honda problem
I bet you 90% that its the main relay. it happens in almost EVERY 4g civic, and alot of hondas in general. mostly they wont start in heat or cold. But could be anytime, could be different from key turn to key turn..or could work one minute and not the next.

i cant seem to find the relays or fuses associated with the fuel pump or anything fuelwise for that matter..
i have a box underneath the steering wheel and another under the floor on the passenger side and all the fuses are for anything but a starting issue.
the only one that would fit the category would be the starter signal fuse but its perfectly fine. i even tested every fuse in both boxes to be sure and theyre all good. i saw a few relays in one so i checked the mapping to see what they were for but theyre also there for no reason considering i dont have power locks or windows lol..

alright well the fusebox thats supposed to be under the hood is under the floor on the passenger side because the guy i bought the car from did a swap all by himself and moved shit around.
as for the main relay, i wont get back to my car till monday.
does the main relay ever just stop working on and off?
ill be crossing my fingers.

alright so i dropped the tank and wired the pump straight to a battery.
the result was good, its spittin alright.
i took my volt meter to the wires going to it and i found no current at all.
i was told the main relay would give power to the fuel pump and the fuel injectors so i tested the connection to the injectors.
the result was good..
so im a little confused at this point..
can a main relay fail in more ways than one?
maybe i got a wire short to ground, but i wont find out till monday.
plz help :O

well i finally figured out that my main relay is just straight retarded..
i tested it in 3 ways and all tests were positive so i started pulling wires and started tracing etc. but then my friend popped the relay back in, cranked the motor and tapped on the relay and it fired up.
w/e lol
